I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of such a thriving, Catholic learning community with supportive staff, governors and parents.
Our pupils are happy children who are encouraged to reach their full potential both academically and spiritually in a supportive Christian environment.

📣 A reminder that tomorrow is Census Day! 🍽️
Children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals, and having a school meal on Census Day helps to ensure our school receives the appropriate funding for providing these meals.
We’d love to see as many of our eligible children as possible enjoying a free school lunch with us tomorrow! 💚
And to make lunchtime extra special, our staff will be joining the children for lunch too! We are looking forward to sitting down together and enjoying our Census Day menu as a school community.

We’ll be discovering more about the creatures that call our woodlands home while enjoying plenty of outdoor fun and exploration. 🦊🐾🍁

🚶♀️🚲🛴 ONE DAY TO GO! 🛴🚲🚶♂️
We can’t wait for Park & Stride Prize Day! 🌟
We’d love as many of our families as possible to get involved! Simply park at least a five-minute walk away from school and walk, scoot or cycle the rest of the way.
🚗 Families can also make use of their parking permits for The Commons Car Park (Co-op Car Park) before walking to school.
🏆 Staff from the South Leicestershire School Sports Partnership will be near the school gates to celebrate pupils travelling actively, with stickers and prizes for those taking part!
📸 Pupils will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken with Spike, their mascot!
Every journey helps to reduce congestion around our school gates while encouraging a healthy and active start to the day. 💚

🌟 Celebrating our amazing Teaching Assistants! 🌟
On Friday, we celebrated National Teaching Assistant Day and took the opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful Teaching Assistants here at St Joseph’s. 💚
Although not all of our fantastic TAs are pictured, this celebration was for each and every one of them.
Every day, they work incredibly hard to support, encourage and care for our children. Whether they’re helping children with their learning, building confidence, offering a listening ear or simply being that familiar, reassuring face when it’s needed most, the difference they make is huge.
We are incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated, caring and hardworking team, and we hope they know just how much they are valued by our whole St Joseph’s community.
Thank you for everything you do, St Joseph’s simply wouldn’t be the same without you! 🌟💚

This Friday, we’ll be exploring our Forest School area and discovering the wonderful natural world all around us. Children will have the chance to explore the woodland, notice the plants, trees and wildlife around them, and enjoy learning and playing outdoors together. 🌳🐞🍂

WELCOME BACK
We are really looking forward to welcoming all of our children back to St Joseph’s tomorrow and hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer break! ☀️
A few reminders for the start of term:
Full school uniform should be worn by all children this week.
PE lessons will begin next week. Information regarding PE days will be sent home beforehand.
Medication – please bring any medication your child requires to the school office tomorrow so that the relevant paperwork can be completed.
We can’t wait to see everyone and start another fantastic year together! 🌟
